What is Integrative Counselling?
Integrative Counselling draws on mainstream theoretical perspectives, integrating knowledge and skills from different therapies.
Working together we can use the insights and techniques of Person Centred Counselling, Psychodynamic Counselling, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help you bring about the changes you want in your life.
Individuals think, feel and react in different ways. By integrating different ways of helping people bring about change in their lives, as an integrative counsellor I work with each client to produce a unique therapy adapted to suit what that client wants and needs.
As an integrative counsellor my practice focuses on the therapeutic relationship established with clients. I offer you the opportunity to be heard without judgement, and endeavour to create a nurturing, safe environment built on respect and understanding.
My practice pays attention to how past experiences can be carried across to the present and I am mindful of how this may impact upon the counselling relationship.
The aim of the work undertaken is not just to relieve pressing issues of the moment, but also to seek a more optimistic and untroubled future.
